February 2026 Review & March Goals

My earnings and learnings from February 2026!
February 2026 Review & March Goals

Here’s an overview of my goals for February, the progress I made, and my earnings! I’ll also share my plan for next month.

Goals

The goals I originally set for myself this month were to:

  1. Publish 5 new designs to my Spoonflower shop.
  2. Publish my weekly newsletter.

I underestimated just how tired I would be when I got back from Japan, so the design goal didn’t get completed at all. Though, I was able to write all my newsletters except for one.

Instead of the design work I had planned, I decided to just focus on my block printing course during my one week of no travel. I shared a bit about my stamp carving progress in last week’s email.

Earnings Overview

In February, I earned $113.44 all through my Spoonflower shop. My earnings this month were much higher than what I was expecting and made up for what was a bit of a slow month in January.

In February 2025, I earned $14.13 so I nearly 10X’d my income month-over-month. By this point in the year, I had forecasted to earn about $92 based on past earnings and my current rate of growth, so I’m more than on track for my goals so far.

I will dive deeper into my sales in my monthly detailed income report, but once again wallpaper sales were the biggest contributor and a few designs I made last year are continuing to sell well for me this year.

Learnings

Set low expectations after travel

I greatly underestimated how exhausted I would be after three weeks of international travel. It took me a full week to recover from the sleep debt and jet lag. Next time I have travel planned, especially long or international trips, I will give myself a one week buffer to recover.

Experiment with new media

I had been feeling a little bored and uninspired by my creative process for a while now, but allowing myself to play around with block printing reinvigorated me so much.

I often have the urge to experiment with new media and workflows, and stop myself because I don’t want it to take up too much time. But when I don’t let myself explore, I end up wasting more time in a creative rut.

Going forward, I’m going to carve out time to explore my creative urges.

Next Month

In March, I’ll be able to get back to my normal routine. My plan is to:

  1. Create 5-10 new designs to publish to my Spoonflower shop. I’m not setting any specific intentions for these. I’m going to experiment with my carved stamps a bit and see what I can do with them.
  2. Continue writing my weekly newsletter.

That’s all for my monthly review. I’m looking forward to a more chill and relaxing month with minimal obligations. 😌

Next week I’ll be doing a deep dive into my income from February and sharing what designs sold best for me and how I’ll be applying those learnings to my future work.
